It's been my honor to serve as your representative on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. Help me continue my work to engage our youth, protect our environment, and maintain a sustainable enterprise that will be here for another 140 years.

My priorities for the park board haven’t changed much since I first ran in 2021. That’s because the mission of the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is simple and clear. Our parks are for all of us. People, wildlife, and plants (nature!) are respected on a level playing field. We are the stewards of this incredible system, and we have a duty to pass it on to future generations. We must address past inequities while taking care to prevent them in the future. The most important thing we can do to preserve that mission is to elect Park Board Commissioners who will prioritize good governance, take a long-term view; not just react to the moment, and who recognize what an incredible, progressive park and recreation system we have here in Minneapolis.

The current Board of Commissioners has been very strong in being mission-focused and acting for the future and I’m proud to be serving as their Board President in 2025 and Vice-President prior to that. I have also represented them on the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET) for the last three years, which has helped me to build strong relationships with the Mayor, the City Council, and the elected members of the BET.
